We have been having great conversation lately. We laugh a lot, too. Things are good. But you brought up something last night that completely threw me off. We were talking and you were just about to leave to go hang out with your friends when our conversation went like this:
"You gonna text me when you get home?"
"Yeah, of course. Like I always do."
"Okay, I know you do."
"Except for that one time where I didn't and you freaked out and thought I was having sex with random sluts."
"No..."
"Yeah."
"No, I don't think that."
"Well, it doesn't matter anyway."
-silence-
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I'm fine."
"You sure?"
"Yes."
How the hell am I supposed to answer that? I didn't want to argue. I didn't want to say anything because I knew you were leaving soon and lately, I just don't have the courage to speak up and say anything over the phone. I hate arguing on the phone. It's so easy to just hang up and not answer when I call, which he has done, and that bothers me. So, now I don't say anything. It's not worth it. I want to keep him as close as I can without ruining anything.
Is that too much to want?
